"We met over coffee at the local café 3844. Dylan proposed after 2 years
on the beach at Phillip Island. He got down on one knee and presented a
ring which was engraved in dutch with the words ‘will you marry me?’
because we are both dutch".
Why we chose the venue?
"We chose the venue because of the sustainability principles of the
We loved the fact that the produce from the garden was being used
in the kitchen. We also loved the natural surroundings of the gardens
and the grounds".
"We were absolutely blown away by the chapel sculpture. It was exactly
what we were looking for in a ceremony location because I wanted
something that represented my love of nature.
Our ceremony was very
relaxed and fun".
Darling is in the detail
"I chose lots of natural and native leaves in my bouquet as well as
babies breath and white roses. I loved the simplicity of the white roses
and I adore babies breath.
We wanted our wedding to be very relaxed and to be representative of us, not necessarily based on traditional or typical customs.We had a candle lighting ceremony for my father who passed away when I was younger.
At our reception we had the partners of our bridal party on the table with us because we wanted to be inclusive and for everyone to just have fun".

"My godmother and I made the seating chart and Dylan and his mother made the chutney for our bonbonnieres".
